It rained and it rained and it rained.
Did I tell you it rained for this ride? I can honestly say it was the wettest ride Ive ever done.
Most of the trails were more like riding along rivers and streams there was that much water running along them.
We didn't go up too high as the weather was against us so it was lots of ups and downs rather than one or two big ups then a very scary down hill through the cloud cover. There were a couple of ford crossings on this ride but there was just too much water comeing down the river (about handlebar depth and really white water) A lot of the trails were like one long ford so we didn't miss out.
The person I was out with had a bit of a fall and bruised their hand and was having trouble holding on an any rough desents so we took the road route back to the start point and retired to the pub.
Least the bike got a wash from the previous ride although Im not sure how much grease is left in the bottom braket and headset.
